Working..

I have a few more pieces...but for some reason my scanner is sucking ass. So, after we get done running errands today, I will horse around with it and see what the problem is!

New Mail Art for the Day

Self portrait mail art.

Wow, OK. This is aluminum foil (and if you notice under the bottom of the big 3 and the bomber, there is the outline of a star-it's a piece of star shaped cardboard underneath). I was not sure how I was going to get paint to stick to the foil, but I had an idea..I used the stencil I made a few weeks ago and spray paint. Then I used acrylics (three coats-you have to put it on almost with a dry brush technique or it beads up on the metal) with the bullseye/crosshair and the numbers. The bomber is a tinted photo cut out. I'm not even sure I'm going to mail it.

Who'd want a picture of me???

I might still add some text to this one, but I kind of like the different colors of red and the gold leaf. Not to mention the cool pic. Check out her handbag in the photo..LOVE IT!!!

My Schtuff...

Obviously, mixed media is my medium of choice (choiceS!!) when it comes to mail art. I like to do other collage work, too..and painting...and a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Anything that lets me release some creativity.

But!!! Not only do I love to create mail art..I love to receive it as well!!! Address on sidebar..hint, hint...
